a year of living

Sitting here on a crisp fall day, staring at a corn field in rural Nova Scotia, I'm thinking about North America. We left BC seven months ago now and the only thing I miss are a few special people. (Okay, and maybe Sabri. And Fujiya. And the SPCA, and the easy access to Tofino. But that's it.)

Six months ago I was in Mexico.

A year ago I was in the Yukon.

In between, I've seen the Mojave Desert, the Rocky Mountains, two oceans, the Sea of Cortes, and the Gulf of Mexico. I've floated in the bayou in a rainstorm and hunkered in my travel trailer in a sandstorm.

North America's pretty big.

GVAC's Silent Auction and Dinner is this Saturday. Surely you miss that!!
Cora
PS: The right house will find you. You just can't force it even if you want it to go faster.

Oh no, I'm missing the silent auction & dinner! Make a daring bid on something for me! ;)

Also... how could I have mentioned the SPCA, and left out GVAC? And the Pound? And SARS, and Care Collars, and Dee's Orphan Kittens, and Hugabull, and Bully Buddies, and the Northwest Canadian Greyhound League, and Donna R.'s ferals, and, and, and... everyone who helps the animals. I miss them all!!

Mark just read your comment and said "awww, I DO miss GVAC's auction".

Miss you, Cora. Give those boxer clowns of yours a hug for us!

I offically shut down Care Collars with my last event Pits in the Park in Duncan on Aug 17th. It was a great time but very hot! F & P where there too. Fritz had to have his second ACL surgery a couple of weeks ago but is doing much better than the last surgery so high hopes he is painfree finally. Thankfully he only has two knees!!
We miss both of you but I am glad you took the time to do the wonderful road trip, its a lifetime of memories.
The pitties miss your hospitality too.

Megan!! You are NOT helping by telling me that you ate all my favourite food. I hope a dog poops on your carpet!! :P

And Cora, glad to hear that Fritz is doing well! I've heard great things about that surgery. Tell Prue to be gentle with him (ha ha).

I'm trying to slowly compile a new list of favourite foods. So far, the Mongolie Grill in Halifax tops the list, and who can resist Scotskins from Joe's in the valley? Mmmm...
